Lisinopril 10 mg is an ACE inhibitor that does not contain sulfhydryl. The tablets are intended for oral use. The mechanism of action of Lisinopril, as well as other angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors, is the stimulation of bradykinin cleavage and catalyzing the formation of Antiotensin II.
Is Lisinopril a beta-blocker?
Lisinopril is not a beta-blocker. The drug effectively reduces total peripheral vascular resistance, which gives a hypotensive effect and allows for taking it as an adjunctive agent in renal and heart failure. In these pathologies, doses that have no significant effect on the reduction of blood pressure work.
How quickly Lisinopril 10 mg lowers blood pressure?
Absorption of Lisinopril is independent of food intake and varies between 25-60% (although some studies have shown individual variability starting at 6%). The dosage of Lisinopril 10 mg allows it to be taken once daily. It is important to do this at approximately the same time interval. Start with the minimum therapeutic dose and gradually increase it to a steadily effective dose. Lisinopril can be used for a long time.
Lisinopril is not only for monotherapy. It is also taken with other antihypertensive drugs. The tablets are present in many modern regimens.
Lisinopril: dosage
At the beginning of treatment, some patients experience a rather sharp drop in BP. In such a case, it is possible to divide the minimum dosage of Lisinopril 10 mg in half or even into four parts. The same regimen applies if the patient has renal insufficiency.
The maintenance therapy dose is usually 2 tablets of Lisinopril 10 mg. If the therapeutic effect does not come within a month, the dose is increased. The safe daily maximum is 80 mg.

Lisinopril: overdose
Lisinopril overdose has been described to a limited extent. Expectedly, an overdose may occur:
- acute hypotension;
- electrolyte imbalance;

- tachycardia or bradycardia;
- dizziness;
- coughing;
- anxiety.
Saline solutions are mainly used for treatment by IV administration. Angiotensin or catecholamines may also be given. Lisinopril can also be excreted by hemodialysis, but this requires a strong indication.

If this item is unclaimed after five days then it will be returned to the sender. You can pay for reshipping $24.95 in order to receive a new tracking number.
